On October 21^st, the NextGen Party Youth Forum: Futureproofing Higher Education for Tomorrow, hosted by the Higher Education Malaysia Association (HEYA) and the National Student Leadership Conference (NaSLeC), took place at Universiti Sains Malaysia, Penang.

The NextGen Party Youth Forum, an integral part of the Pre-National Student Leadership Conference 2023, aimed to bring visionaries and innovators together to shape the future of learning. Our Managing Director, Edmund Yuen, was invited to contribute to the insightful session titled “Continuing Malaysia’s Industrialization: What Talent is in Need?” alongside distinguished speakers, including Mr. Amir Syarifudin, Senior Manager of Investment Ecosystem Development Unit at Northern Corridor Implementation Authority (NCIA), Mr. Teh J-Wing, Director of Silicon & System Engineering at AMD, and Dr Siti Harwani Md Yusoff, Senior Lecturer at the School of Aerospace Engineering, USM.

The session delved into crucial industry-related questions, emphasizing the evolution of the industry and the ever-changing needs for talents, strategies for education institutions and policymakers to ensure workforce adaptability as well as strategies for positioning Malaysia as a hub for talent and innovation globally.

Edmund Yuen shared valuable insights during the session, addressing his journey and experiences in founding Ideal Vision Integration, the key challenges and opportunities in staying relevant with evolving demands and the importance of global collaboration, innovation, and cultural awareness in the tech industry.

This event offered a unique opportunity to gain valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities in continuing Malaysia’s industrialization.
